About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Members of the Public Council under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport held a meeting at AzInTelecom LLC.

Elkhan Azizov, Chief Executive Officer of the company, provided detailed information on the work carried out in recent years and the company’s digital innovations.

During the meeting, the Public Council members’ questions were addressed, and the importance of continuing such dialogue was emphasized.
