About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Public Council holds regular meeting

The Public Council under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport has held its regular meeting.

The meeting discussed the work plan to be carried out in the second quarter of 2024.

According to the work plan, meetings are planned to be held in the second quarter of the year at the Information and Communication Technologies Agency and Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency in order to get acquainted with the current situation and prospects in the respective areas.
