About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Meeting with Public Council members held at Azerbaijan Railways CJSC

A meeting with members of the Public Council under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport took place at Azerbaijan Railways CJSC.

At the meeting, Rovshan Rustamov, Chairman of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC, noted that significant results had been achieved in several priority areas.

The event also featured information on improving the quality of passenger transport services, infrastructure upgrades, and the implementation of digitalization and innovative technologies.

Then, the Council members’ questions were answered.

At the conclusion of the meeting, it was emphasized that maintaining ongoing dialogue is crucial for activities in this field.
