WG on Physical Infrastructure of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings holds meeting

The meeting of the Working Group (WG) on Physical Infrastructure of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan was held in video format.

 

The meeting was attended by Head of the Sector for Monitoring, Coordination and Evaluation of Economic Reforms of the Department on Economic Policy and Industry of the Administration of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Head of the Secretariat of the Commission Vusal Shikhaliyev, Head of the Working Group, Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Rovshan Rustamov and members of the Working Group. At the event, the status of the implementation of the WG’s Action Plan for January-June 2021 was discussed.

 

Delivering an opening speech at the meeting, Head of the Working Group, Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Rovshan Rustamov  informed the participants about the issues arising from the implementation of the WG’s Action Plan approved for 2021, and about the challenges ahead. He also noted that in order to ensure timely, high-quality and coordinated implementation of the activities envisaged under the Action Plan, the necessary work will  be continued in the future  within the framework of the WG.

 

In his statement, Head of the Secretariat of the Commission Vusal Shikhaliyev emphasized that the WG’s Action Plan on Physical Infrastructure is a comprehensive document consisting of detailed measures. He also noted the importance of re-evaluating the work done on the plan during the meeting, paying attention to the challenges ahead.

 

Representatives of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, the State Agency for Highways of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Railways CJSC and Azerenerji OJSC then made presentations on the implementation of the Action Plan.
