Warning: Fake mails are sent to citizens about various military exercises

The Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies has registered another phishing campaign via e-mail. Thus, fake mails sent to citizens by e-mail state that allegedly various military exercises are held with the participation of Azerbaijani, Turkish and Georgian servicemen. It is noted that the State Civil Aviation Agency together with the Ministry of Defense has developed the “Indestructible Brotherhood-2021” program to watch these exercises live. The fake mail states that the program was approved by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies.

The user is then asked to follow the link attached to the fake email and download the program. Malicious programs are placed in this link, and the device of the user who follows the link and downloads the program is infected.

The Electronic Security Service under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies informs citizens that this information does not reflect the reality. The aim is to infect devices and seize personal information by forcing users to access malicious links using various social engineering techniques.

Citizens are recommended not to trust such information. First of all, check the sender’s address and the accuracy of information from official sources using different means of communication, not to follow any links sent by strangers and not to download any files.
