About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Vehicles of Baku Taxi Service LLC, which provide services in the capital, are disinfected daily

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies continues to take urgent measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection (COVID-19).

All taxis belonging to the Baku Taxi Service LLC under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies providing services in the capital are disinfected on a day-to-day basis.

The necessary preventive measures are taken on a regular basis and the sanitary and hygienic situation is under control.

All taxis belonging to the service are disinfected by turn.

Note that day shift vehicles are disinfected at night, and night shift vehicles – during the day.

Drivers are provided with antiseptic solutions and the necessary means of prevention in order to prevent cases of virus infection and increase the effectiveness of appropriate measures in this area.
