The next meeting of the ”Technology and innovations" Working Group on the activities of the first half of the year was held

The next meeting of the “Technology and innovations” Working Group of the Commission on Business Environment and International Ratings was held on July 19. The meeting was attended by the leadership of the Secretariat of the Commission, the head and members of the Working Group, private sector participants and media representatives.

The head of the Secretariat of the Commission, Vusal Shikhaliyev, made an opening speech and noted that the activities of the Working Group play an important role in improving the country's indicators in the Global Innovation Index. In this direction, he stressed the importance of cooperation and continuity of communication both within the Working Group and with other groups and subgroups.

Samir Mammadov, the head of the Working Group, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport, said that communication was carried out within the Working Group on the status of events approaching or ending the implementation deadlines for the first half of this year. Samir Mammadov also noted that the adoption of necessary measures by each organization for the full and timely implementation of the measures is highly appreciated.

Samir Mammadov emphasized that the participation of state institutions and private sector representatives in the meeting of the working group contributed to defining the goals for the next six months.

Following the agenda of the meeting, the reports of the work done by the Working Group for the first half of 2024 and the goals set for the next half were discussed by representatives of government agencies.

The questions and suggestions of representatives of the private sector were also heard.

The head of "Caspian Energy Club" and its IT members participated in the event as a guest, important innovations and opportunities for cooperation in the field of technology and innovation were discussed in the format of a state-business dialogue.

Based on the opinions expressed at the meeting, the working group made relevant proposals and decisions.
