About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

The Chairman of the National Nuclear Research Center CJSC was awarded the jubilee medal “100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (1918-2018)”

By the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev No. 1205 dated May 27, 2019, the Chairman of the National Nuclear Research Center CJSC under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan, academician Adil Abdulkhalig oglu Garibov was awarded the jubilee medal “100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (1918-2018 )”.

The honorary award was presented to the academician by the Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Novruz Mammadov.

Adil Garibov expressed deep gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for his attention and noted that he would justify the high confidence placed in him.
