Technical Committee for Standardization of Information and Communication Technologies holds regular meeting
A regular meeting of the Technical Committee for Standardization of Information and Communication Technologies (TC-05), established in the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport (MDDT), was held in an online format.
The work done in accordance with the Action Plan for 2024 and important issues to be addressed, including the draft of 12 new national standards recognized as relevant in the field were discussed at the meeting.
Three standards related to artificial intelligence were developed on appeals filed by MDDT, one standard on personal data management by the Azerbaijan Institute of Standardization, one standard related to the transition to digital radio broadcasting by the Teleradio PA and others by the Information and Communication Technologies Agency (ICTA).
It should be noted that the Technical Committee held two meetings this year and developed 21 national ICT standards. Nine of them have already been approved, the remaining standards are being worked on towards their approval in accordance with the current legislation.
The number of standards to be developed this year is several times more than in previous years. The main reason for this is to achieve the goals set out in the Action Plan of the “State Program for 2023–2025 to bring the national standardization system in line with international requirements” approved by Order No. 3721 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 23 January 2023.
It is planned to hold one more meeting of the Technical Committee before the end of this year.
