Take Off Baku international startup summit kicked off within TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan
Fifty startups from 8 countries, including Azerbaijan, are participating in the Baku Summit.
Take Off Baku international startup summit has been launched as part of the TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan Aerospace and Technology Festival which is being held for the first time in Baku on 26 – 29 May this year, jointly organized by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey.
Participating startups will address investors at Take Off Baku, presenting 11 areas: 9 in education, 5 in financial technology, 2 in healthcare, 7 in Smart City, 2 in transport and logistics, 2 in infrastructure and security, 3 in entertainment, 8 in social sphere, 1 in Media & Ads and in other areas.
80% of all projects submitted are software and 20% are hardware.
It should be noted that prior to the official opening of the event, 11 master classes have been organized for 50 participating startups by international mentors on the following topics: Choosing the Right Market Segment, Customer-Centric Solutions, Pitching, Innovation and Efficiency, and Functional Competence of the Startup Team.
In addition, the event will provide opportunities for startups to make presentations, hold B2B meetings, meet with investors, participate in exhibitions and panel discussions.
The Take Off Baku startup summit will be moderated by Tal Catran, an international expert on startups and accelerators.
The awards ceremony for startups offering new innovative projects and solutions will take place on May 28.
