It will be recalled that on 27 September 2020, in order to prevent Armenian aggression against Azerbaijan, Azerbaijani army launched a full-scale counteroffensive along the entire front and began to liberate the territories occupied by Armenia during the First Karabakh War. This war, which lasted 44 days and was called the Patriotic War, demonstrated the strength of the Azerbaijani armed forces both to the enemy and to the world. Our army, under the leadership of Commander-in-Chief, destroyed the Armenian army and restored the country’s territorial integrity, historical justice and international law. During the 44-day war, 2907 Azerbaijani soldiers became martyrs, more than 1000 soldiers were wounded, and seven people went missing.
