About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

The international online conference World Net Summit, jointly organized by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies and FA International Trade Events LLC as part of InnoWeek – Innovation Week 2020, will continue today.

At today’s event, CTO of Baykar Makina Selcuk Bayraktar will speak about high technologies and innovations.

He will speak about the important role of drones in the development of the startup ecosystem, including the national military-industrial movement.

It is will be recalled that the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies organizes conferences, forums and exhibitions reflecting the latest innovations in the field of high technologies and innovations, as part of the international InnoWeek – Innovation Week, which has been held in our country since 2018. As a result of the measures taken, the innovation ecosystem is developing rapidly in our country.
