Schedule of bus routes to territories liberated from occupation changed

The schedule of bus routes to the territories liberated from occupation has been changed.

It should be noted that the first regular bus trips to the cities of Shusha and Aghdam, which are of great historical significance and cultural value for the people of Azerbaijan, were launched on January 24.

To date, 12 travels towards Shusha and Aghdam have been successfully implemented. Citizens purchased a total of more than 1,100 tickets in the relevant destinations. Taking into account the analysis of routes, the dynamics of demand and ticket sales, as well as the wishes of citizens, some changes have been made in the bus schedule. Thus, as a result of the analysis, it was found that the Baku – Shusha –Baku route is in high demand, and it was decided to open an additional route in this direction. Starting from February 16, the bus route Baku – Shusha –Baku will be implemented not twice, but three times a week.

The changes in the schedule of routes to other destinations are shown in the table below.

One of the important changes is the removal of the restriction on one-time travel applied at the initial stage, given the large number of appeals from citizens. Citizens can now travel in any direction without restrictions.

It should be noted that drivers carrying passengers on routes and volunteers accompanying passengers on buses were involved in mine safety trainings, and they were provided with instructions on basic safety rules. To inform and instruct passengers, mine safety videos are shown on buses, and each seat has also a brochure with instructions on mine safety. During the visit, the buses are accompanied by employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
