Registration for hackathon competition to be held within 2nd International Cyber Security Week starts
In order to enhance the effectiveness of coordinated activities and increase awareness level in the field of cyber security and Internet Governance, the 2nd International Cyber Security Week will be held in Azerbaijan on March 2- 6.
A hackathon competition will be held on March 4 as part of the 2nd International Cyber Security Week. The purpose of the competition is to develop skills in cybersecurity, identify potential industry personnel, increase young people’s interest in the relevant field and enhance their awareness.
Registration for participation is made in a team form of 3-5 participants. Students of secondary and higher education with basic knowledge of cyber security, * nix, and programming (scripting) can apply for the competition. Participants must bring their own computers with appropriate parameters to perform tasks.
The hackathon will last 12 hours. In order to assess the abilities and skills of participants to protect computer systems, teams will be given tasks such as to find solutions to exploiting vulnerabilities in web-based applications, using cryptography, exploitation of binary application gaps, reverse engineering, etc.
At the end, the winners will be awarded. The winner of the first place will be awarded a prize of 4000 AZN, second place – 2000 AZN and third place – 1000 AZN.

The deadline for registration of participants is February 29, 2020.
The competition will be held on the campus of Baku Higher Oil School (Sabail district, New Salyan highway, 3rd km 25, Baku, Azerbaijan) on March 4, 2020.
