Public Keys of Azerbaijan Republic certified for introduction of digital tachograph system

Meetings were held in Ispra (Italy) and Warsaw (Poland) in order to accept the public keys of the Republic of Azerbaijan for the first generation digital tachograph system of the Republic of Azerbaijan and deliver them to the Polish Security Printing Works (PWPW) at the next session of the European Root Certification Authority (ERCA) for the implementation of the “Policy on digital tachograph system in the Republic of Azerbaijan”.
The event was attended by representatives of the State Road Transport Service under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies.
Public Keys for introduction of the digital tachograph system of the Republic of Azerbaijan were certified in accordance with the existing procedures of this organization at the next session of the European Root Certification Authority in Ispra.
During the meeting, the participants discussed the introduction of the second generation smart tachographs (Smart Tachograph GEN 2) to monitor the rest and driving hours of drivers of vehicles engaged in international road transport and the necessary changes in the Digital Tachograph System of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It was noted that the representatives of PWPW will inform the Azerbaijani side after taking appropriate measures.
At the same time, the PWPW representatives were informed about the “Rules on working conditions and recreation, features of the working conditions of drivers carrying out domestic passenger and cargo transportation by public transport” approved by decision № 118 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated March 10, 2016 and the creation of a relevant digital tachograph system arising from these rules.
In accordance with the agreement concluded at the end of the meeting, the authorized persons of the Polish Security Printing Works were provided with the Public Keys of the Republic of Azerbaijan in the city of Warsaw.
