About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Provision of lump sum payments continues on daily basis

The provision of lump sum payments continues across the country in 1494 post offices of Azerpost LLC under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies.

Low-income citizens, including the unemployed and those working informally who lost their jobs due to the special quarantine regime are sent SMS notification of a lump sum payment (190 AZN).

Upon receiving such a message, they get permission to leave the house in the appropriate manner, and apply to any post office (if Azerpost LLC is indicated in SMS message), or to any branch of a bank (if a bank is indicated) with an ID card and receive funds.
