President Ilham Aliyev viewed smart bus stops in Ismayilli region

The first samples of smart city components – a bus stop, smart benches and lighting poles developed by RD SMART LLC, a resident of Pirallahi High-Tech Park under the Innovation Agency of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, have been installed in the center of Ismayilli region.

President Ilham Aliyev, who visited Ismayilli region on July 29, familiarized himself with these smart bus stops.

A solar-powered smart bus stop protects passengers waiting at the bus stop from contracting the virus by spraying into the air for 10 seconds every 10 minutes a BIOSANIS disinfectant solution, not containing alcohol, chlorine and substances harmful to human health, created by Azerbaijani scientists. In addition, a hand sanitizer dispenser has been installed at the bus stop. The stop is also equipped with free Wi-Fi, four power outlets for charging mobile devices, a USB port, two security cameras and a water-vending machine. For passengers’ convenience, the bus schedule will be displayed on a special panel. The power supply of the smart bus stop is provided by solar panels. Two more types of solar-powered smart benches in the park are equipped with free Wi-Fi, a charging device and a USB port.

It should be noted that RD SMART LLC became one of four new residents registered on June 16, 2020 in Pirallahi High-Tech Park by relevant decision of the Innovation Agency. RD SMART is currently engaged in the production of technological products – disinfection walkways with BIOSANIS disinfectant solution, wind and solar lighting poles, smart bus stops, park benches with solar energy, Wi-Fi and mobile phone charging device.
