About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Postage stamp on occasion of 100th anniversary of outstanding actress Leyla Badirbeyli issued

Azermarka LLC under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies has issued a postage stamp on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of outstanding Azerbaijani actress Leyla Badirbeyli.

The design of the postage stamp, created by Vugar Eyyubov, chief artist of Azermarka, depicts a graphic portrait of the actress. The vertical arrangement of stamps on a sheet of 16 (4x4) postage stamps resembles a film tape. Each postage stamp has one whole and two incomplete “frames”.

The stamps were printed in the Belarusian printing house “Bobruisk Integrated Printing House” with a print run of 300,000 copies. Furthermore, 200 envelopes of the first day were issued.
