Postage stamp issued on occasion of 100th anniversary of Ahmadiyya Jabrayilov

Azermarka LLC under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies has issued a postage stamp on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the birth of a participant in the Second World War, one of the prominent members of the French Resistance Movement, partisan Ahmadiyya Jabrayilov.
The issue is made in the form of a souvenir sheet consisting of a stamp. The souvenir sheet depicts a Wehrmacht soldier posting an ad searching for Ahmadiyya Jabrayilov, nicknamed Chargo (Khargo), on one of the walls of Paris, occupied by Nazi Germany during World War II. The ad is in German with the words “10,000 Reichsmark” and “Chargo / tot oder lebendig” (Khargo / alive or dead).
The stamp depicts a portrait of Ahmadiyya Jabrayilov, on the left side of the sheet – the Eiffel Tower, and on the right side, on the wall – the emblem of Maquis (Maki), one of the groups of the French Resistance Movement. The purpose of issuing the stamp is to popularize the outstanding partisan Ahmadiyya Jabrayilov among local and foreign philatelists and world collectors.
Additionally, 200 First Day Covers were issued.
