About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to widen the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

The International Transport Forum (ITF) Summit is the world’s largest gathering of transport ministers and the premier global transport policy event. The 2026 theme, “Funding Resilient Transport”, is the second in the 2025–2027 ITF Summit trilogy on transport resilience.

Postage stamp dedicated to Victory Day issued

Azerpost LLC under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport has issued a postage stamp dedicated to Victory Day.

The issue has been prepared in the form of a small sheet of eight postage stamps.

The postage stamp, authored by artist Orkhan Garayev, was printed with a circulation of 40,000 copies.

Along with the postage stamp, 200 First Day Covers were issued.
