About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Physical Infrastructure Working Group to hold meeting on results of current year

The meeting of the Physical Infrastructure Working Group of the Commission on Business Environment and International Rankings on the results of the current year will be held on December 23, 2021 at 15:00 in an online format (through Microsoft Teams program).

Note that the Working Group is headed by Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rovshan Rustamov.

The meeting will hear a report on the implementation of the measures adopted at the previous meeting of the Working Group, and discuss the implementation of unfinished activities in the Action Plan and the draft Action Plan for the next year.
