Passengers celebrate Novruz holiday in Aghdam

The State Road Transport Service under the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport has today made the 71st bus trip to the territories liberated from occupation. A total of 3,196 passengers have traveled in the direction of the cities of Shusha and Aghdam since January 24. The citizens’ visits to their native lands have been successfully ensured.

Taking into account the analysis of routes, as well as numerous requests and needs of citizens, it was decided to carry out daily bus services in the direction of Baku–Shusha–Baku in March – during Novruz holiday.

Tickets are now on sale on the www.yolumuzqarabaga.az portal, developed in integration with the relevant route program of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport.

Today’s trip was of particular importance for passengers, because they were going to celebrate Novruz holiday in Aghdam region, which has longed for Novruz bonfires for 30 years.

On the way, the passengers witnessed the following scenes: destroyed houses, destroyed infrastructure and mined areas.

The looting of Aghdam, the attempt to wipe off  the history and cultural heritage of our people from the face of the earth, the terror committed against houses, monuments, even graves and mosques, once again demonstrate that the Armenian atrocities know no boundaries.

No matter how hard the enemy tried, it could not destroy the spirit of Azerbaijan in Aghdam, where every inch is history. Currently, construction work is under way in these territories.

Passengers going to Aghdam today visited the graves of their relatives in accordance with Novruz traditions. The burning fires made everyone feel proud and happy. Finally, the dream of our people to celebrate Novruz holiday in Karabakh has come true.

According to tradition, on the first day of the holiday, everyone should be at home. People say: “If you are not at home on the first day of Novruz, then you will not see your home for seven years.” We also celebrated Novruz at home – in Karabakh and Aghdam. Soon the inhabitants of Karabakh will return to their native lands and live on those lands forever.
