Participants of international startup summit Take Off Baku to be held within TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan became known
Fifty startups from eight countries, including Azerbaijan, have won the right to participate in Take Off Baku.
We would like to inform you that in preparation for the TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan Aerospace and Technology Festival, which will be held for the first time in Baku on 26 – 29 May this year, jointly organized by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3 Foundation), the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey, the participants of the international startup summit Take Off Baku have been confirmed.
Under the terms of the competition, the jury selected the 50 strongest startups from among the teams with MVPs (a customer-acquired product that can be improved based on customer feedback), finished products and sales availability.
It should be noted that a total of 287 startups from 32 countries have been registered for the international event, 101 of which are from Azerbaijan.
Participating startups will address investors at Take Off Baku, presenting 11 areas: 9 in education, 5 in financial technology, 2 in healthcare, 7 in Smart City, 2 in transport and logistics, 2 in infrastructure and security, 3 in entertainment, 8 in social sphere, 1 in Media & Ads and 11 in other areas.
Eighty percent of the total projects submitted are software and 20% are hardware.
Prior to the official opening, international mentors will hold 11 master classes for 50 participating startups on the following topics: Choosing the Right Market Segment, Customer-Centric Solutions, Pitching, Innovation and Efficiency, and Functional Competence of the Startup Team.
It is worth noting that the summit will provide opportunities for startups to make presentations, hold B2B meetings, meet with investors, take part in exhibitions and panel discussions.
The award ceremony for startups offering new innovative projects and solutions will take place on 28 May.
