Open Day held for general public as part of 74th International Astronautical Congress

The last day of the 74th International Astronautical Congress taking place in Baku was open to the general public. University students, startuppers, schoolchildren, children with disabilities, children of martyrs and war veterans came to the event venue.

They got acquainted with space innovations in the exhibition pavilion, where stands of 150 companies from 36 countries were presented. The participants also viewed the exhibits of the eco exhibition Go Green of the NARGIS magazine, opened during the congress, and space-themed carpets presented at the exhibition Rug Art Out of Space by the famous designer Jan Kath.

Teenagers and young people attending the congress met with astronauts from different countries and listened to their success stories. The participants of the meeting also got autographs from the astronauts and had a souvenir photograph taken with them.

Children participated in various entertainment and educational programs, including Journey to the Moon with VR, STEAM Robotics, LEGO games, and also had an interesting time in Imagine yourself an astronaut, Bubble Heads and other zones. They also received symbolic plane tickets to different planets.

During the event, Honored Artist Bahram Baghirzade met with children and presented his autographed books to them.
