About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Open Data Portal, which is operated by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, will operate at a new domain address - http://www.opendata.az.

Considering the fact that the main users of the portal are programmers, we inform you that along with the address of the portal, the API links of its appropriate services have also been changed.

In accordance with the changes, the following may be cited as an example:

https://api.opendata.az/v1/json/nrytn/PostIndexRegionByStreetName/28%20May?pretty

Data belonging to business entities and not prohibited by law for public disclosure can be submitted for posting on the portal.

Note that the Open Data Portal collects open data that is formed during the activities of government agencies in a single space. Using this data, one can develop effective software. To date, some 20 mobile applications have been developed and made available to citizens using data posted on the portal.

Today, the number of data sets posted on the Open Data Portal is 655.
