Speaking about the projects implemented in our country in connection with digital transformation, Adviser to the Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Bayramov said that SIMA is part of the work done. The Adviser noted that through SIMA it will be possible to access e-government services, as well as services and products of banks, non-bank credit organizations (NCOs), insurance companies, mobile operators, electronics and household appliances stores, TV and Internet providers, in a word, services, and also products in all areas where an electronic signature is used. According to Rashad Bayramov, the new product will accelerate the digital transformation in Azerbaijan and stimulate the use of online services.

Acting Chairman of the Board of AzInTelecom Elkhan Azizov said that SIMA will be launched and will be available to citizens in the near future. According to him, it is enough to download the new generation digital signature that works with a mobile application to a mobile device and register once. With regard to the innovativeness of the product, the head of the organization added that SIMA covers all areas of digital transformation – government, population and business.

Partner companies –  Business Development Adviser at SVORT Kamal Aliyev and President of Sinam Elchin Aliyev spoke about the effectiveness of public-private partnership. It was noted that the participation in the project will give great experience to private companies in creating an electronic signature, and joint activities with AzInTelecom on the development of SIMA will be continued.

Then the Commercial Director of AzInTelecom Ruslan Aliyev spoke in detail about the new product. He emphasized that SIMA, which combines face recognition, public key and cloud technologies, is based on biometric authentication. Thus, it is checked whether the identity card that the user scans with the mobile application belongs to this person. The test operation is carried out in real time based on face recognition through the webcam of the mobile device. If the data contained in the identity card belongs to this person, the user is issued a signing certificate, otherwise the request is denied.

It was noted that SIMA has several benefits for both citizens and service providers. These include cost cutting, time loss prevention, integration capability into any system, as well as possibility of signing quickly and up to any number. The automation allows users to sign quickly and in any quantity.
