MTCHT’s team becomes winner of international extreme sports in Baku

An international extreme sports tournament - "Mübarizlər" (Fighters) was held at the Training and Education Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MIS) in Baku with organizational support from Gilan Holding, MIS, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the National Olympic Committee.

 

According to the rules, the participants overcame five-kilometer-long track. Then, the participants of the championship tried their strength at a distance of 7 kilometers with 42 barriers.

 

In the men's individual race, Ravil Khaziyev took the first place, the second was Aynur Ahmednebiyev, and Alexander Tagansev took the third place.

 

In the women's individual competition, Natalya Studinkina, Anastasia Mikhina and Sima Safarova took the first, second and third places, respectively.

 

The team of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies (MTCHT) became the first in team score. The second was team Bank of Baku and the third place went to Alten Group.

 

In addition, the team of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was the first among the teams of law enforcement agencies.

 

The winners were awarded medals, cups and diplomas.

 

It should be noted that the project Fighters, which is of great interest to extreme sports lovers, offers a completely new format of active recreation -  running hurdles in difficult terrain. The obstacles were specially prepared so that during the course of the track the participants’ all group muscles are in motion.

 

Today, hurdle race is one of the most popular events all over the world. These races, which have turned into a new kind of sport, now leave behind traditional sports.
