MTCHT Militarized Security Department celebrates 22 years of activity

Today marks the 22nd anniversary of the establishment of the Militarized Security Department (MSD) under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies (MTCHT).

The Militarized Security Department was established on September 9, 1997 with the aim of strengthening the protection of communication facilities. Since March 13, 2015, it has been operating as a Limited Liability Company.

Militarized Security Department LLC provides security for agencies within the structure of the Ministry and subordinate agencies not including in its structure, as well as other communications facilities and agencies that are not communications facilities, provides access control to facilities and control over fire safety.

80% of the staff consists of youth. Young guards trained by the MSD have become winners at the national championships, as well as European and world championships in various types of sports.

It should be noted that on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of the establishment of the Militarized Security Department, employees who distinguished themselves and made a great contribution to the development of this sphere were awarded honorary titles and awards by relevant order of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies. Thus, Hikmet Mammadali oglu Jafarov and Abulfaz Jalal oglu Aliyev were awarded honorary certificates. And Azer Alikishi oglu Jafarov and Adil Gilinjkhan oglu Bayramov were awarded the rank of colonel of the internal communication service, Hatam Gismet oglu Ahmadov – colonel-lieutenant of the internal communication service.
