Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies to work in accelerated regime during toughened quarantine days

The population will also be provided with sustainable transport, telecommunications and postal services in the days of the toughened quarantine regime to be introduced in Baku, Sumgait, Ganja, Lankaran, Yevlakh, Masally, Jalilabad and Absheron regions (from 00:00 on June 21, 2020 to 06:00 on July 5, 2020) in accordance with the relevant decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

 

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies has given relevant instructions to subordinate bodies, associations and telecommunication agencies and country’s telecom operators to ensure the population on these days at the proper level with transport, postal, telecommunications services, including  internet, mobile services, radio and TV broadcasting.

 

Duties will be organized and relevant measures will be taken to provide the population with uninterrupted and quality transport, telecommunications services, radio and TV broadcasting, promptly eliminate damaged cables and lines.

 

All communications centers, post offices, “Shebeke” service centers in the country will continue their activities.

 

Ministry employees, agencies included in its structure, and subordinate bodies that are not included in its structure who can perform their duties from home, will be involved in working online. And technical support staff will work in shifts. In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus, all necessary preventive measures are taken in the administrative office of the ministry and its agencies. The employees are regularly provided with necessary personal protective equipment (medical masks, gloves).
