Ministry of Education, Ministry of Digital Development and Transport sign Protocol of Intent on cooperation

On February 17, the signing ceremony of the Protocol of Intent between the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport took place.

 

The Protocol of Intent was signed by Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev and Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev.

 

The main purpose of signing the protocol is to cooperate on digitalization, innovations and issues that will contribute to the development of education for general education institutions.

 

Within this cooperation, at the first stage, an Innovation Center will be established at the Istedad (Talent) lyceum in Sumgayit city. The Center aims to identify talented students in the fields of mathematics, computer science, robotics, develop their potential, improve their skills in information technologies, coding skills, as well as prepare students for local and international olympiads and competitions.

 

Addressing the ceremony, Minister of Education Emin Amrullayev appreciated the signing of the Protocol of Intent. The Minister of Education stressed the importance of this initiative, initiated by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, in terms of identifying and developing the skills of talented students, and implementing innovative educational projects.

 

Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev stated that according to the Azerbaijan 2030: National Priorities for Socio-Economic Development, defined by President Ilham Aliyev, a strong human capital and innovative space should be created in our country. According to the Minister, we can achieve this only by enhancing knowledge in the field of exact sciences, technologies, information technologies, and training specialists in this field.

 

Following the signing ceremony, the ministers got acquainted with the conditions created at the lyceum, met with the students and discussed issues of concern to them.
