About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Ministry of Digital Development & Transport to work in enhanced regime on holidays

Appropriate measures have been taken to provide the population with quality and sustainable transport, postal, telecommunications services, including Internet, mobile communications and TV & radio broadcasting on the days of Novruz holiday.

In this regard, instructions have been issued to the agencies of the ministry, as well as mobile and telecommunications operators, Internet service providers.

Relevant structural units have been brought into full readiness to eliminate any possible problems related to services.
