Ministry of Digital Development & Transport holds event in connection with Victory Day

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport has organized an event dedicated to November 8–Victory Day in the Republic of Azerbaijan.

 

First of all, a minute’s silence was observed in memory of our martyrs who gave their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.

 

Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rahman Hummatov congratulated the Azerbaijani people, headed by President and Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, on the Victory Day.

 

The deputy minister said that we honor the memory of our martyrs, who brought us this victory and wish health to our veterans. Our ministry’s staff have also contributed to the achievement of glorious victory. Thus, 210 of our employees participated in the Patriotic War, six of them fought bravely against the enemy and rose to the peak of martyrdom. There are also employees who have lost family members in the war.

 

“We are very pleased that the children of the heroes who wrote this glorious history are celebrating the second anniversary of the victory with us,” Rahman Hummatov said.

 

At the end of his speech, the deputy minister stressed that the rapid construction work on the liberated lands once again sends a message to the world that Karabakh is Azerbaijan, the Azerbaijani land, and the real owners of this place are restoring and developing it.

 

Then Sevinj Orujova, Chairperson of the Public Union “Zafar”: Support for Martyrs’ Families spoke in detail about the organization’s support to the families of martyrs and work with the children of martyrs. She thanked the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport for supporting the work carried out in this direction.

 

The event participants got acquainted with the paintings made by the children of martyrs. The children spoke in detail about the paintings of which they are authors.

 

In the end, martyr children held a postage stamp cancellation ceremony dedicated to the Victory Day.
