Ministry employees who fought in Patriotic War, family members of martyrs visit Shusha

On the eve of the second anniversary of Azerbaijan’s victory in the Patriotic War, the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport, Azerbaijan Land Transport Agency and Public Union “Zafar”: Support for Martyrs’ Families have organized a trip to the city of Shusha for family members of martyrs and veterans working in the institutions of the ministry.

 

It should be noted that 210 people working in the institutions of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport took part in the Patriotic War. Six of them gave their lives for the territorial integrity of our country and rose to the peak of martyrdom.

 

Among those who visited Shusha were veterans who took part in the operation to liberate the city, and parents of fighters who became martyrs.

 

The visitors got acquainted with the rich history and cultural heritage of Shusha, the cultural capital of Azerbaijan, and the construction and restoration work carried out in the city. They visited the Jidir Duzu (horse race field), the museum-mausoleum complex of Molla Panah Vagif and the shot busts of Uzeyir Hajibeyli, Bulbul and Khurshidbanu Natavan. The trip continued with a visit to the historical and cultural monuments of Shusha, Shusha fortress.

 

During the trip, war veterans shared their memories of battles, while family members of martyrs spoke about the glorious path of their heroic sons and their bravery.
