About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Ministry donates laptops to pupils in orphanage

Representatives of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies visited orphanage # 1 on the occasion of Knowledge Day.

In connection with the organization of classes in educational institutions in the online form, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, laptops were donated to pupils in orphanage.

Baktelecom LLC has begun relevant work to provide the orphanage with high-speed Internet.

It should be noted that earlier the ministry donated computers to pupils in orphanage # 1.

In addition, representatives of the ministry together with members of the Public Union “Zafar”: Support for Martyrs’ Families donated tablets and school supplies to students who, due to the lack of Internet and computers in their homes, could not participate in distance learning.

Aztelecom LLC has also laid telephone lines to students’ homes.
