About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev visits villages in Goychay provided with GPON technology

As part of his next reception of citizens, Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev visited Khalitli, Yeniarkh and Hajiaghalibeyli villages of Goychay region with a population of 3,000 people.

The Minister took part in the event organized to provide 910 family households in these villages with internet access through GPON technology.

The opening of the central optical distribution center built for Khalitli, Yeniarkh and Hajiaghalibeyli villages was also held with the participation of Minister Rashad Nabiyev and public representatives of the three villages.

It should be noted that when selecting the location for the facility, it was taken into account that neighboring villages Chereke, Chereje, Mally-shikhly and Muskurlu will also be powered by the same equipment in the future.
