About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev visits martyr family provided with high-speed internet in Aghstafa

As part of his visit to Aghstafa region in connection with the reception of citizens, Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev has today visited Khatai and Yenigun villages of the region, which are provided with high speed internet services.

The Minister met with family members of martyr Khudayat Orujov in Khatai village, listened to their memories of martyr and took a close interest in their concerns.

The Minister then visited the Aliyevs in the village of Yenigun.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport gave both families laptops, tablets and other gifts.

It should be noted that 320 households in the aforementioned villages, including new subscribers – the Orujovs and the Aliyevs have already been provided with modern GPON technology.
