About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev participated in discussions on Lapis Lazuli route in Istanbul

Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev took part in an event held in Istanbul to discuss issues related to the activation of the Lapis Lazuli route.

The event discussed topical issues related to the development of infrastructure in the participating countries for the effective functioning of the route, exchange of information between the countries, establishment of an advisory group and development of an action plan.

Rashad Nabiyev emphasized that Azerbaijan attaches special importance to international and regional cooperation in the development of international transport corridors. He informed about important measures taken by our country in this direction over the past 20 years.
