About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev held a meeting at the administrative building of Shamakhy regional organization of the New Azerbaijan Party with young people who live in Gobustan, Shamakhy, Aghsu and Ismayilliy regions and are active in the field of ICT.

The innovations in the ICT sector in our country and the role of youth in this field were discussed at the meeting.

At the meeting, an exchange of views took place on ways to improve the digital skills of the younger generation.
