About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev met with Ukrainian Minister of Infrastructure Alexander Kubrakov via videoconference

Minister of Digital Development and Transport of the Republic of Azerbaijan Rashad Nabiyev met with Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Alexander Kubrakov in the format of a video- conference.

During the videoconference, the current state and prospects for cooperation between the two countries in the field of transport were discussed.

The sides exchanged views on the development of international transport corridors passing through the territories of the two countries, attracting additional freight flows to these corridors, as well as creating favorable conditions for the development of transportation.

At the same time, opportunities for multilateral cooperation within international organizations such as GUAM (Organization for Democracy and Economic Development), TRACECA (Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia) and TITR (Trans-Caspian International Transport Route) were discussed.
