About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev met with Turkish minister of transport and infrastructure

Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Rashad Nabiyev met with a delegation led by Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of the Republic of Turkey Adil Karaismailoglu, which is on an official visit to our country.

The current state and development prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the fields of transit cargo transportation by road, railway transport, combined international cargo transportation, civil aviation, telecommunications and satellite services were discussed at the meeting.

At the same time, there was an extensive exchange of views on joint steps to be taken to implement new projects.
