Minister Rashad Nabiyev met with Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia

A meeting was held between Minister of Digital Development and Transport Rashad Nabiyev and Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Natia Turnava, who is on a visit to our country to participate in the 6th Azerbaijan-Turkey-Georgia business forum in Baku.

The issues of expanding cooperation between the two countries in the field of transport were discussed at the meeting. The sides exchanged views on the impact of increasing the potential of transport corridors passing through Azerbaijan and Georgia on the development of cargo transportation between the two countries and the tariffs used in international cargo transportation.

During the meeting, the project Baku – Tbilisi – Kars railway was also discussed. The issues discussed included the acceleration of work carried out on the project, the phased commissioning of the work performed and changes in the structure of project management.

Moreover, the sides discussed the attraction of additional cargo volumes for transportation via the Baku – Tbilisi – Kars railway between the two countries and the establishment of competitive tariffs.
