About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Rashad Nabiyev met with Islamic Corporation for Insurance of Investment and Export Credit CEO

Digital Development and Transport Minister Rashad Nabiyev has met with a delegation led by Chief Executive Officer of the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC) Oussama Kaissi.

Issues related to the financing of projects implemented in our country for the development of ICT and transport sectors, as well as prospects of cooperation between ICIEC and the Government of Azerbaijan were discussed at the meeting.

It should be noted that the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit is a member of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group.
