Minister Ramin Guluzade met with IAEA Acting Director Cornel Feruta

A meeting was held today between Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Ramin Guluzade and Acting Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Cornel Feruta, who is in Baku to attend the 18th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Non-Aligned Movement member countries.

At the meeting, the current state and prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the organization were discussed. The sides discussed the work done in the field of nuclear research in our country, human resources development, the organization of joint seminars and trainings in this area.

It was noted that a number of projects have been implemented successfully within the technical cooperation between the IAEA and the National Nuclear Research Center CJSC under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies. The Center also actively participates in IAEA regional projects on small modular reactors, nuclear materials and security.

IAEA Acting Director General expressed interest in deepening cooperation with Azerbaijan, noted that there are ample opportunities for this.
