About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Minister Ramin Guluzade meets with Latvian Ambassador

Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Ramin Guluzade met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to Azerbaijan Dainis Garančs.

An exchange of views on the present state and prospects for the development of cooperation between the two countries in the field of telecommunications, innovations, information and high technologies took place. The main topic of discussion was the issue of the representation of reputable companies and startups of Latvia in the field of innovations in the national pavilion of this country at the 26th Azerbaijan International Telecommunications, Innovations and High Technologies Exhibition Bakutel 2020, which will be held in Azerbaijan.

At the same time, the importance of developing cooperation in the field of air transport, maritime and road transport was emphasized.
