About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

Meeting held at MDDT with representatives of Ministry of Digital Development of Kyrgyz Republic

Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Transport (MDDT) Rovshan Rustamov met with Director of the State Communications Agency under the Ministry of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic Talant Kalykov, who is on a visit to our country to participate in the first business meeting of space agencies and entities of Turkic states.

The meeting discussed issues of cooperation between the two countries in the field of ICT and space.

Also, at the suggestion of the opposite side, the guests were informed in detail about the mechanism of operation of the Mobile Device Registration System (IMEI) in our country and the possibility of exchanging experience in this area was emphasized.
