About Ministry

Based on Decree No.1464 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 11 October 2021, the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies was renamed the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport. The aim was to increase the implementation of digitalization and innovation in the country, develop radio spectrum management, communication and information technologies, improve regulatory mechanisms and create a healthy competitive environment.

The Ministry of Digital Development and Transport is the central executive authority implementing state policy and regulation in the fields of transport (except for cases determined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan), including maritime transport and civil aviation, communications (telecommunications and post), e-government, high technologies (information technologies, microelectronics, nano, bio and other innovative science-intensive technologies)
The ministry implements state policy and regulation in the fields of transport, communications, e-government and high technologies.

MCHT’s e-services used 345021 times in November

In November, the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies (MCHT) took first place among all government agencies by the number of use of electronic services.

This became known as a result of statistics performed by Data Processing Center (DPC) of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies.

During the month, e-services available on e-Government portal were used 345021 times.

MCHT’s most frequently used e-services were “Search for phone number”, “Provision of information on numbers moved to other provider through Mobile Number Portability service”, “Registration of mobile devices”, “Verification of IMEI registration of cell phones” and “Payment for communication services and public utilities via the Internet”.

Note that 36 e-services of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies are available on the portal.
