Lachin Radio & TV Broadcasting Station put into operation

As part of the reconstruction of the radio and television broadcasting network in the territories liberated from occupation, Lachin Radio & TV Broadcasting Station (RTBS), located in Lachin region, was put into operation on September 9.

The existing 20-meter tower and technical building were used in order to temporarily resume the operation of the station.

As a result, eight TV channels (AzTV, Culture TV, Sport Azerbaijan TV, Public TV, Azad Azerbaijan TV, Khazar TV, CBC, Real TV), Azerbaijan Radio, Public Radio in Lachin region, as well as in the villages of Shusha and Gubadly regions in the direction of Lachin are being broadcast in the digital format.

In the future, it is planned to carry out appropriate work to increase the station’s infrastructure and broadcasting capabilities.

It should be noted that in the territories liberated from occupation, the activities of radio & TV broadcasting stations in Shusha, Kalbajar, Minjivan (Zangilan) and Khanlyg (Gubadly) have been temporarily resumed. At present, ten TV and seven radio programs are broadcast from Shusha RTBS, eight TV and two radio programs are broadcast from each radio & TV broadcasting stations in Kalbajar, Minjivan, Khanlyg and Lachin.

Radio and TV broadcasting is currently carried out through these stations in Shusha, Khankendi, Khojaly, Lachin, Kalbajar, Khojavand, Gubadly, Fuzuli, Jabrayil, Zangilan, Aghdam and other nearby territories.
