International event on “Promoting cooperation in order to strengthen digitalization in the transport and logistics operations” held

A virtual meeting of CICA member states on the theme “Promoting cooperation in order to strengthen digitalization in the transport and logistics operations” was held, organized by the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies within the framework of the event on building confidence for the development of safe and efficient transport corridors of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA).

The purpose of the event, which was moderated by a representative of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, was to exchange best practices and information in transport and logistics operations, discuss opportunities for cooperation and stimulate dialogue between the main participants working in this area.

Delivering an opening speech at the CICA experts meeting, Deputy Minister of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Rahman Hummatov spoke about the participation of the Republic of Azerbaijan in projects implemented to develop regional cooperation in the field of transport, as well as our country’s support for new initiatives on digitalization of transport corridors.

The virtual meeting continued with sessions on the topic “National practices in digitalization of transport and logistics in CICA countries” and “Digitalization of transport corridors: cooperation and future development perspectives among CICA Member States”.

The event was attended by representatives of relevant state bodies, transport and logistics companies of the CICA countries, as well as relevant international organizations and independent experts.
