Innovation Agency’s resident startup signs agreements with international companies at Technofest

Technofest Aerospace and Technology Festival, held at Istanbul Ataturk International Airport, has ended with significant achievements for Azerbaijan. The National pavilion, which was attended by over 10 Azerbaijani startups and technology companies, where technological products and solutions were showcased, aroused particular interest among the exhibition visitors. During the event, Azerbaijani pavilion was visited by over 40,000 participants.

Our startups covered various areas and directions, such as space industry, military, education, medicine, agriculture, transport, video games, and new technologies in general. Among them there are startups that have achieved success. Thus, one of the resident startups of the Innovation Agency of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies has attracted the attention of investors. As a result, the startup Strike – a complex training facility based on virtual reality, has signed an agreement with company Fix Defense for the production of simulators. At the same time, an agreement was reached with company Baykar on the integration of drones into the system.

Project manager of the Azerbaijani pavilion, head of the startup Viasteller Mubariz Abdullayev received an invitation from Istanbul Technical University and Zonguldak Bulent Ecevit University to train students in the design and assembly of small satellites.

The event was also useful for other startups in terms of acquaintance and establishing cooperation with international companies.

It is worth noting that Technofest has been held annually since 2018, jointly organized by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation (T3), headed by the Ministry of Industry and Technology of Turkey and Baykar Makina CTO Selcuk Bayraktar in partnership with more than 60 government agencies, universities and private companies of Turkey.
