In connection with entry into force of new tariffs for radio frequencies, relevant decision of Tariff (Price) Council no longer in force

Taking into account that in Decree No.1834 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated 26 August 2022, the services of registration of radio frequencies, ensuring electromagnetic compatibility and supervision of its operation have lost their social importance, it was decided to establish tariffs for using radio frequencies by the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport in agreement with the Ministry of Economy and Ministry of Finance instead of Tariff (Price) Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

In order to enforce this Decree the “Methodology for calculating one-off payment and fixed-term payment (monthly or annual) for the use of radio spectrum in the Republic of Azerbaijan” was developed, which was agreed with relevant authorities and approved by decision No.KQ-10/22 of the Board of the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport dated 19 September 2022. The decision was published in the State Register of Legal Acts of the Republic of Azerbaijan on 28 September 2022, and from that day came into force.

Following the above-mentioned changes, it was deemed necessary to cancel the decision “Registration of radio frequencies, tariffs for ensuring electromagnetic compatibility and supervision of its operation” approved by Minutes No.09 of July 23, 2004 of the Tariff (Price) Council of the Republic of Azerbaijan. In this regard, the relevant decision was annulled at the meeting of the Tariff (Price) Council held on 26 October 2022.
